As more studies are performed on Marijuana The more separation it receives from the Pharmaceuticals we’re forced to endure. Aspirin, Acetaminophen or any other can kill you or cause very serious ailments. Not so with Marijuana. A lethal overdose of Marijuana is IMPOSSIBLE. With estimates at 20,000 – 40,000 Marijuana cigarettes smoked in 15 Minutes as a possible overdose level”. Not one recorded death attributed to Marijuana overdose ever!”

(Marijuana Safety – DEA Administrative Law Judge’s Ruling)

The most obvious concern when dealing with drug safety, is there a possibility of lethal effects? Can the drug cause death?
Nearly all medicines have toxic, potentially lethal effects. But marijuana is not such a substance. There is no record in the extensive medical literature describing a proven, documented cannabis-induced fatality.
This is a remarkable statement. First, the record on marijuana encompasses 5,000 years of human experience. Second, marijuana is now used daily by enormous numbers of people throughout the world. Estimates suggest that from twenty million to fifty million Americans routinely, albeit illegally, smoke marijuana without the benefit of direct medical supervision. Yet, despite this long history of use and the extraordinarily high numbers of social smokers, there are simply no credible medical reports to suggest that consuming marijuana has caused a single death.
By contrast aspirin, a commonly used, over-the-counter medicine, causes hundreds of deaths each year.
Drugs used in medicine are routinely given what is called an LD-50. The LD-50 rating indicates at what dosage fifty percent of test animals receiving a drug will die as a result of drug induced toxicity. A number of researchers have attempted to decide marijuana’s LD-50 rating in test animals, without success. Simply stated, researchers have been unable to give animals enough marijuana to induce death.
At present it is estimated that marijuana’s LD-50 is around 1:20,000 or 1:40,000. In layman terms this means that to induce death a marijuana smoker would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as much marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette. NIDA-supplied marijuana cigarettes weigh about .9 grams. A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response.
In practical terms, marijuana cannot induce a lethal response as a result of drug-related toxicity.”

The Emperor Wears No Clothes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Emperor Wears No Clothes is a book written by Jack Herer. Starting in 1973, Jack Herer took the advice of his friend “Captain” Ed Adair and began compiling tidbits of information about cannabis and its many uses.[1] After a dozen years of collecting and compiling historical data, Herer first published his work as The Emperor Wears No Clothes in 1985. The eleventh edition was published in November 2000, and the book continues to be cited in cannabis rescheduling and re-legalization efforts.
The book, backed by H.E.M.P. (America), Hanf Haus (Germany), Sensi Seeds/Hash, marijuana & Hemp Museum, Amsterdam, (Netherlands), and T.H.C., the Texas Hemp Campaign (America), offers $50,000 to anyone who can disprove the claims made within. Quoting from the book’s back cover:
“ If all fossil fuels and their derivatives, as well as trees for paper and construction were banned to save the planet, reverse the Greenhouse Effect and stop deforestation; then there is only one known annually renewable natural resource that is capable of providing the overall majority of the world’s paper and textiles; meet all the world’s transportation, industrial and home energy needs, while simultaneously reducing pollution, rebuilding the soil, and cleaning the atmosphere all at the same time… and that substance is — the same one that did it all before — Cannabis Hemp… Marijuana! ”
The title of the book alludes to the classic fairy tale “The Emperor’s New Clothes” by Hans Christian Andersen. Herer uses Andersen’s story as an allegory for the current prohibition of cannabis.

Our Government’s fear-mongering scare tactics has no basis in fact. The truth is clear, Marijuana is not that drug like aspirin or acetaminophen or any of their newer drugs which have a high mortality or injury rate to a percentage of the population. Those drugs are far worse and still legal. The money made on pharmaceuticals is exactly why something effective and Natural can not be legalized. An even greater reason the Federal Government does not want Marijuana legalized is they own the Black Market already. This helps fund our second government and Black Ops Projects. Then when you are arrested, you fill jails and prison cells which is making a couple of people outrageous amounts of $.
